Author Guidelines

Paper Formatting

IJICOM Manuscript TEMPLATEMS Word
The manuscript is written in Microsoft Word (in .doc or .docx, both acceptable), single space, Arial 10pt. The main text format is single columns on A4 paper. The page margin is 2.5 cm for all left, right, top, and bottom sides. Unless stated in the template, keep the paper format as simple as possible. A maximum of 25 pages is expected.

Organization of manuscript

Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure:

  • Introduction
  • Related Works
  • Proposed Method/Algorithm
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion.
The Abstract should be 150 to 200 words in length. The Abstract should be informative and completely self-explanatory, provides short background, a clear statement of the problem, the proposed approach or solution, and points out major findings and conclusions.

The Introduction should provide a clear background, a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the subject, the proposed approach or solution, and the new value of research, and should emphasize the novelty of the work. It should be understandable to colleagues from a broad range of scientific disciplines. The related review should be put in the "Introduction" section shortly and concisely to explain the difference (“gap”) between the manuscript with other papers.

The "(Proposed) Method" should describe the step of research and justification of how to get the data correctly, while the "Results and Discussion" section is the place to explain results in-depth and elaborate on the meaning of results. Please put your research in context. Therefore, always link your findings with previous works or published results of other researchers.

Tables and figures are presented in the center of the page and numbered consecutively with proper captions. All tables and figures must be cited in the manuscript

Equations should be written using native MS Word Equation or MathType. Do not use images for any equation, as the quality will be degraded during the production of the PDF version. The equation should be numbered consecutively. The number is put on the right side. Do not forget to explain any variables or parameters in the first use, especially under the equation.

Reference

Organization and citation of the bibliography use IEEE style in numbers, just like in [1, 2] or [3-7]. The terms in foreign languages are written italic. All references should be appeared and be cited properly in the text. Each citation should be written in the order of appearance in the text.

The main references are international journals and proceedings. All references should be to the most pertinent and up-to-date sources. Avoid unreliable internet websites (Wikipedia/blogs/news) as references.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors must check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission is not submitted to another journal for consideration. The double publication will lead to rejection or retraction (even after publication).
  2. The paper has not been published in any other outlet and format, including repository or ArXiv.
  3. The submission file follows the journal format. The paper has been prepared following the authors' guidance, and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The paper is free from plagiarism (intentionally or unintentionally), and any materials (texts, figures, tables, etc.) from other sources have been properly cited with written consent/permission (to avoid breaching of copyright). It is the responsibility of authors to avoid misconduct in publication. The similarity score is under 20% for consideration of publication.
  5. If the paper is accepted for publication, the authors understand and agree to transfer the copyright of the paper to the publisher.

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Processing Charge: 60.00 (USD)/ IDR. 490.000
To support the cost of wide open access dissemination of research results, to manage the various costs associated with handling and editing of the submitted manuscripts, and the Journal management and publication in general, the authors or the author's institution is requested to pay a publication fee for each ACCEPTED article.

The author fee covers the standard manuscript publication. Instructions for money transfers via bank transfer will be provided by the editor with the notification of acceptance for the accepted paper.

A waiver or partial waiver of author fees may be decided by the editor in case of lack of funding, excessive length of the submitted manuscript, or other sound reasons provided by the author during the submission. The author should declare that he asks for a waiver or discounted rate in the comments to the Editor box during their submission. The waiver will not affect the review result of the paper. A waiver is most likely to be denied if it is not asked at this stage.
